Founded in 2023, the Hong Kong Asset and Wealth Management Institute (HKAWM) is a professional body dedicated to the asset and wealth management industry. It brings together seasoned practitioners and is guided by its core philosophy — professionalism as the foundation, service as the purpose, and innovation as the driving force — and is committed to advancing the industry’s professional capability and overall development.
The Institute is guided by the philosophy of professionalism as the foundation, service as the purpose, and innovation as the driving force. Its aim is to connect the strengths of the industry, raise the professional capability of practitioners, and support the steady, healthy development of the asset and wealth management sector.
The Institute offers three main types of resources: a platform for exchange, through which it hosts and takes part in industry activities; an online learning platform offering continuing professional development resources related to asset and wealth management; and a membership community that anyone can join free of charge upon registering on the platform.
Anyone who registers an account on the Institute’s online learning platform (learn.hkawm.com) can join HKAWM as a member free of charge, with no membership fee, and share in the Institute’s exchange and learning resources.
The Institute operates an online learning platform providing continuing professional development courses and resources related to asset and wealth management. Its Annual Learning Pass opens up courses in one convenient package, allowing practitioners to plan their studies according to their own needs.
The Institute focuses on core areas including asset management, wealth management, family offices, cross-border investment and financing, and Shenzhen–Hong Kong cross-border finance, closely reflecting the practical needs of the asset and wealth management industry.
The Institute actively engages with the Greater Bay Area and major financial hubs across the mainland, exchanging extensively with industry peers, government bodies and event organisers, and hosting or taking part in high-calibre industry activities that strengthen professional links between Hong Kong and the mainland in asset and wealth management.
